Liverpool FC has confirmed plans to lift a 650 tonne roof truss over its iconic Anfield stadium on Thursday, subject to weather conditions.

The 'lift' is part of ongoing construction work to redevelop the Main Stand and is scheduled to take several hours to complete.

Anfield's Museum and Tour Centre, Bootroom cafe, retail store, ticket office and Reducate centre will temporarily close for one day, while the truss is erected.

During this time, temporary access changes will be in place on Walton Breck Road. The footpath alongside the stadium will be temporarily closed and the bus stop which currently operates from outside Anfield's Paisley Gates will be temporarily relocated further along Walton Breck Road.

The taxi rank outside Anfield Stadium will also temporarily close for one day, while the truss is erected.
