LFC Foundation has launched an online safeguarding campaign to help support participants who are unable to attend their school and community sessions during the COVID-19 national lockdown.

All programmes delivered by LFC Foundation were postponed last month due to the coronavirus outbreak and since then a series of online sessions have been made available for participants to access at home, including physical activity, mindfulness, LFC-themed puzzles and games, as well as a virtual Big Red Sports Day on Facebook on Friday April 24.

The online safeguarding campaign will reach out to participants to address whether they need someone to talk to, have any worries or concerns as well as promoting the message of not keeping things to yourself.

Specialist LFC Foundation staff and coaches will be on hand to offer their time to participants for a friendly chat as well as provide advice and support where needed.

Matt Parish, LFC Foundation director, said: “The safety and wellbeing of our participants is our main priority and we know that during this lockdown period that some may be finding it difficult for an array of different reasons.

“We want them all to know that we are here to support them, have a friendly, confidential chat and provide help if needed.”
