LFC Foundation will host a virtual sports day this month to engage with school children safely in the environment of their own home.

The Big Red School Sports Day welcomes children from the age of four to participate in a range of interactive activities using the Premier League’s Primary Stars programme curriculum.

Premier League Primary Stars – delivered by LFC Foundation – uses the appeal of the Premier League and Liverpool Football Club to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.

Participation in the event is free of charge and will be broadcast on LFC Foundation’s Facebook page on April 24.

The event will focus on self-assessment – a key part of the PLPS curriculum – with children marking their own performance out of six stars. All participants will also receive a digital certificate of participation.

Participants will have the opportunity to repeat the sports day at a later date in order to track their development through LFC Foundation’s official YouTube channel.

LFC Foundation, which has postponed all of its school and community programmes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, has a range of other online physical activity and mindfulness sessions and a whole host of other fun activities available on Facebook and Twitter.

The virtual sports day, which lasts approximately two to three hours with breaks, has been established to ensure current and new participants maintain their levels of fitness and ultimately have fun throughout this period of isolation.

LFC Foundation would like to see as many of you as possible participating in the virtual sports day, so don’t forget to share your pictures and videos using the hashtag #BigRedSportsDay.
