LFC Foundation's Premier League Kicks project will launch a new Mini Kicks session in Rainhill next week, providing free football and coaching for youngsters aged four to six.

From January 15, the outdoor sessions will run every Wednesday from 5pm to 6pm at Rainhill High School, Prescot.

The introduction of the new Mini Kicks session follows the success of its original indoor scheme at Anfield Sports and Community Centre, which takes place each Wednesday from 4pm to 5pm.

Mini Kicks offers an introduction to football for the games' youngest players, with sessions focusing on fundamentals, basic techniques and having fun in a supportive environment.

LFC Foundation coaches will aim to develop participants’ skills in all areas of the FA's Four Corner Model - technical, social, physical and psychological.

Mini Kicks - part of the LFC Foundations wider Premier League Kicks programme - is delivered to a high football standard, focusing on various areas of the game including passing, dribbling, turning and shooting.

The project is set to continue its expansion in more locations across the city in early 2020.
