Youngsters from two LFC Foundation programmes were given the opportunity to gain valuable water-sports qualifications during the recent half-term break.

Eighteen participants from the Premier League Kicks and 'Onside' projects attended a two-day course at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre with the aim of earning the Paddle Discover Award – a water-sports qualification which allows young people to develop decision-making and practical skills for a fun and safe time on the water, taking them on the next steps towards becoming a proficient and independent paddler.

During their time on the course, which is accredited by British Canoeing, the young people were able to learn key skills, develop confidence and build the resilience that is needed to overcome obstacles and choose the right pathways in life.

Premier League Kicks and the 'Onside' Project share the aim of engaging with young people to create life-changing opportunities using the power of the LFC badge.
