Much like the football season, LFC Foundation’s Kicks sessions are well underway, with 18 free weekly sessions planned at nine different locations across the city.

Kicks is the Premier League’s flagship community programme, which uses the power of football and sport to inspire young people in some of the most high-need areas in England and Wales.

The LFC Foundation’s sessions are for seven to 19-year-olds of all abilities, with FA qualified coaches providing football training in a fun and safe environment.

All sessions take place on weekdays after school (5pm onwards), at locations including Anfield, Croxteth, Walton, Toxteth, Wavertree, Gateacre, Kirkby – and new for this year, Sefton.

Most of the sessions are drop-in, so anyone can just turn up. There’s also a Kicks session specifically for girls aged eight to 13 years, and a training session for the LFC Foundation’s Kicks Football Development Squad.
