Season Ticket Change of Ownership

LFC launches latest ticketing survey giving fans a real say

Policy Overview

A formal policy has been introduced for the 2026/27 season, allowing season ticket holders to transfer ownership of their season ticket to a close family member. Any requests will need to be supported with relevant documentation and will be subject to an approval process.

Season ticket ownership may be transferred to a Close Family Member of the existing named season ticket holder. For the purposes of this policy, a “Close Family Member” is defined as any of the following relations to a Season Ticket holder:

  • Parent

  • Child

  • Sibling

  • Spouse

  • Grandparent

  • Grandchild

A Season Ticket may be transferred at any time, provided that:

  • the current Season Ticket holder notifies the Club of its desire for the Season Ticket to be transferred (save for in the unfortunate circumstances where a Season Ticket holder is deceased, in which case please see below);

  • the recipient is a Close Family Member;

  • the information required to complete the transfer, as outlined in this policy, is provided; and

  • the recipient is not

    • serving a Football Banning Order

    • under club sanction

    • under investigation

    • blocked for failing to complete Fan Update

Whilst the Club will consider each request to transfer a Season Ticket to a Close Family Member, the processing of such request is subject to the Club’s approval (to be exercised in its sole discretion).

Where the intended recipient of a Season Ticket is under 16, the transfer of a Season Ticket to that recipient will only be processed if the recipient will be accompanied at all games by an adult aged 18 or over.

  • The responsible adult must be identified at the point of transfer and must formally agree to accept responsibility for the Junior while attending matches.

  • The Club reserves the right to request confirmation of this arrangement at any time.

  • The Junior and the responsible adult must be seated adjacent to one another (directly next to each other) within the stadium bowl.

  • Any adult named as the responsible adult must provide explicit consent to this role as part of the transfer process and agree to supervise the Junior for the duration of each match attended.

All approvals remain at the club’s absolute discretion and can be refused if the club deems it necessary

The Club reserves the right to:

  • Review and update this policy from time to time

  • Request additional information where required

  • Refuse applications that do not meet the criteria or where sufficient evidence is not provided

Approval Process

In cases where the existing Season Ticket Holder has not passed away, the transfer request can only be made by the existing Season Ticket Holder. Once a transfer request is submitted, both the existing and prospective Season Ticket Holders will be contacted by the club and will be asked to formally approve the transfer.

In cases where the existing Season Ticket Holder has passed away, the prospective Season Ticket Holder is required to provide the death certificate of the existing Season Ticket Holder along with any indication of how the deceased wished for their ST to be transferred.

The Club will not intervene in any disputes between family members relating to the transfer of a Season Ticket of a deceased Season Ticket Holder, and the Club reserves the right to suspend any Season Ticket where such dispute occurs.

Further, if a dispute cannot be resolved and a transfer of the applicable Season Ticket completed within a reasonable timeframe (as determined by the Club), the Club reserves the right to refuse the change of ownership request. In this scenario, the season ticket would be made available to the relevant supporters on the season ticket waiting list during the next season ticket offer period.

If the price type (i.e. adult, young adult, junior, over 65) of the season ticket changes as part of the transfer, any applicable additional payment must be made before the transfer can be completed.

Where the change results in a lower-priced season ticket, the Club will refund the difference in price on a pro rata basis for the number of games remaining. Where the change results in a higher-priced season ticket, the recipient must pay the difference in price on the same basis before the transfer is processed.

Submitting a Request

To submit a request, go to our Contact Email Form and choose the “Ticketing” option, followed by “Men’s Football”, then “Season Tickets”.
