Junior Firpo has failed to rule out a move to Liverpool this summer.

The Real Betis wing-back enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last year, catching the eye of many top European clubs despite niggling injuries.

Both Liverpool and Barcelona have been considering moves for Firpo this summer, if reports in Spain are to be believed.

And Firpo, 22, has left the door open for a switch after being quizzed on his future.

He is about to embark on a short break after being part of the Euro U21 Championship-winning Spain team.

“I want to enjoy this success and the holidays, right now all the clubs are starting their pre-season and we are finishing it – when the summer is over I will sit down and talk about my future,” he told Diario AS.

Firpo has a release clause of €60million (£53.5m) with Betis.

Given that he has a long-term contract until the summer of 2023, the Seville-based club will likely want the fee to be paid in full if they are to sanction his exit this summer.

However, Betis have a replacement on hand already, with young full-back Emerson on loan from Barcelona until 2021.

He has currently been playing back-up to Firpo.
