Liverpool have reportedly made an increased offer of £20million for Croatia defender Domagoj Vida.

The Besiktas man enjoyed a successful World Cup in Russia as he helped his side to Sunday's final in Moscow.

He has been linked with a subsequent move away from Turkey with Atletico Madrid and Sevilla joining Liverpool in the race for his signature.

According to reports in Turkey, the Anfield club have doubled down on their efforts to land Vida who has also attracted the attention of Everton and Leicester.

Besiktas are believed to want more then £30m for the player.

A spokesman for the club said: "“We have received offers for Vida and we are considering them but that does not mean he will definitely leave.

“Every player has a price, we will make a final decision in accordance with our budget and interests.”
