Liverpool have been told the fee that would bring Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina to Anfield, according to reports.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be a number of managers looking at the winger this summer.

But reports in Italy suggest the Reds will need to stump up £44million to bring the 20-year-old to the Premier League.

Corriere dello Sport in Italy claim Fiorentina have placed the large sum on Chiesa’s head following a breakthrough season in Serie A.

It is rumoured that Fiorentina will not consider any offers below the £44m asking price.

Fellow Premier League sides Manchester City, Manchester United and Serie A side Napoli are also said to be interested in Chiesa.

Liverpool and Chelsea have both reportedly sent scouts to Italy to watch the attacker in action this campaign.

Chiesa has netted six times for Fiorentina in Serie A this season, helping his side to ninth in a congested mid-table.

Fiorentina boss Stefano Pioli recently handed clubs a boost in their hunt for Chiesa, stating he doesn’t know whether the Italian will stay.

"I'm calm, even if you can never be in football," Pioli told Rai Radio.

"Can Chiesa become a ‘bandiera’ or will he be sold like [Federico] Bernardeschi? I don’t know.

"What I can say is that he’s grown a lot, he’s made great strides and he can become very important for this club."
