Barcelona have joined Liverpool in the summer scramble for Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Digne.

The 22-year-old is in demand this summer and Roma, who had the Frenchman on loan last season, have already made an approach.

Liverpool are keen on the left-back too as they look to strengthen their defensive options for the new campaign.

But, according to L'Equipe, the Reds now face competition for Digne's signature from Barcelona.

The Spanish champions have contacted the France international's representatives about a move, but the offer on the table would see the defender used as a squad player.

Digne is now mulling the proposal over and Liverpool have the opportunity to make a counter-bid in the coming days.
