Liverpool are lining up a sensational swoop for bring former goalkeeper Pepe Reina back to Anfield, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Reina has reportedly become one of Jurgen Klopp's transfer targets as he wants to bring in another goalkeeper as part of his squad overhaul.

The Spaniard, who represented Liverpool between 2005 and 2013, could be available for cheap this summer after a two-year stint at Napoli.

Meanwhile, the Reds are edging closer to the signing of Anderlecht sensation Samuel Bastien, according to Voetbalkrant.

The 19-year-old is believed to have been the subject of a bid around the value of €5million and €6million with a view to a summer move.

Liverpool are said to have already beaten off competition from Palermo, Sporting Lisbon, Fiorentina and Juventus to land Bastien, who will not complete any move until he returns from holiday in Spain.

He spent all of last season playing in the Italian Serie B for Avellino, where he has caught the eye of scouts all around the world.
