Martin Caceres is a key target for Liverpool in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.

The Uruguay international is out of contract with Juve at the end of the season, making him an attractive prospect for would-be suitors.

And it's understood Caceres is keen to leave the club as soon as possible, having made just 39 league appearances since he signed from Seville in 2012.

According to Italian outlet Sport Mediaset, Jurgen Klopp has pinpointed the centre-back as a 'top target' in January.

Liverpool have been struck down with injuries, particularly at the back, losing Dejan Lovren, Martin Skrtel and Mamdou Sakho in recent weeks.

Reports had linked Borussia Dortmund's Neven Subotic and Inter Milan's Andrea Ranocchia with moves to Anfield.

However, both clubs have since ruled out deals with the Reds, claiming they have no intention of selling their centre-backs.
