Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is eyeing a reunion with Kevin Grosskreutz by pursuing the transfer of the Galatasaray star, reports say.

The German boss wants to save his compatriot, who played under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, from his Turkish nightmare.

The utility man, 27, has not been able to play for the Turkish giants since moving to the club in August.

His paperwork was not submitted by the club in time to complete an August transfer and he has been left in limbo.

Grosskreutz has not settled in Turkey and is keen for a move away.

And Klopp is ready to save the versatile star by making him his first Liverpool signing, according to the Mirror.
