The Argentina international will wear the No.10 jersey for the Reds after a deal was reached for his transfer with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The shirt was most recently occupied by Sadio Mane, while others to have held the number include John Barnes, Luis Garcia, Philippe Coutinho and Michael Owen.
