Mohamed Salah on Watford rout, best goal debate and stunning form
Mohamed Salah relished every part of Liverpool's comprehensive 5-0 victory at Watford as he insisted the team will 'fight for everything' this season.
The Egypt international followed up his superlative solo strike against Manchester City before the international break with another individual effort of mindboggling close control, skill and finishing.
His second-half goal complemented a clinical opener from Sadio Mane, his 100th in the top flight, and a Roberto Firmino hat-trick at Vicarage Road as the Reds maintained an unbeaten start to 2021-22.
Post-match, Salah spoke to BT Sport about the performance, his remarkable personal form and which of his last two club goals was better.

The unbeaten run goes on. You had a grip on the game from the start and you never let it go today, did you?
I think we didn’t want to start [like] the City game, so we were talking in the dressing room that we need to start the game well – and I think that’s what we did.
The goals were very special indeed. Shall we talk about yours?
I think all the goals were very important. Bobby did a great job today and scored a hat-trick, congratulations to him. Sadio also scored a nice goal. All the goals were very important.
Have you scored a better goal than that?
Last game maybe! I don’t know which one was better, this one or the City one. Every time I’m in the box I’m trying to give the ball to someone to score, or I score by myself. It’s always about the team. I always try to play for the team. The most important thing today is we scored good goals, all of us in front scored. Hopefully we can carry on like that.
In your personal form right now, do you feel as sharp as you’ve ever been?
I don’t know, I’m just trying. Sometimes I don’t have luck to score goals. I’m just trying every time to give 100 per cent from what I have and trying to help the team. Sometimes I have luck, sometimes not. But I’m feeling confident at the moment, I feel like I’m scoring goals, helping the team to get points, which is the most important thing.
And top of the table, you’re going to be in that battle right through to the end of the season?
Hopefully. Hopefully we we can win the league and we’re also going to go for the Champions League. It’s important for a team like Liverpool, a club like Liverpool to fight for everything.
