Mohamed Salah will be looking to continue his fine form for Liverpool against London opposition when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield this evening.

The Egyptian has scored 17 goals in his last 17 home league appearances versus teams from the capital.

Against Spurs in particular, the No.11 has netted five goals in his seven LFC outings, with four of those coming in six Premier League encounters.

Liverpool are the only team in the top four divisions with a 100 per cent home record in 2020-21.

Only Andy Robertson and Roberto Firmino have started all 12 Premier League games for the Reds so far this season. Georginio Wijnaldum has also featured in all of them, once as a substitute.

Since the 4-1 defeat at Tottenham in October 2017, Jürgen Klopp's side have lost eight of their last 117 league fixtures.

In this match last season, Jordan Henderson scored his first goal at Anfield in almost four years. For Liverpool, he has more league goals against Tottenham and Swansea City (three) than against any other team.

A win tonight would be Liverpool's fifth in a row in the league against Spurs to equal the club record set twice – between 1975 and 1976 and again from 2013 to 2015.

The Reds are eyeing up their 50th league victory over Tottenham at Anfield, with this being the 78th meeting on Merseyside.

This will be Jose Mourinho's 30th game against Liverpool as a manager. He has won more than he has lost (12-8), though has secured victory in only one of his last eight encounters.
