Harvey Elliott this week sat down with Liverpoolfc.com for his first senior interview as a professional footballer… and it was one with a bit of a twist.

Instead of one of the club’s usual reporters asking the questions, the interviewer was first-team assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders.

The pair conversed via video link for our exclusive interview as Elliott spoke for the first time since his transfer to Liverpool last summer.

His debut season has yielded seven first-team appearances so far and a place in the Reds’ squad for the FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Qatar last December.

Lijnders ran through a range of topics with Elliott during the entertaining chat – and you can see it in full now.
