The Reds have won 23 and drawn five of their last 28 league games, with that undefeated run being the third-longest in the club’s history. Their best was a sequence of 31 unbeaten, set between May 1987 and March 1988.

Last season, Liverpool failed to score against City at Anfield for the first time in 25 league meetings.

Klopp has beaten a Pep Guardiola team eight times during his career, inflicting more losses on City’s boss than any other manager. They have met on 17 occasions.

Mane has scored 17 goals in his last 16 Premier League starts at Anfield.

Roberto Firmino scored his first Liverpool goal in the 4-1 victory over City at Etihad Stadium in November 2015. The Brazilian has had a hand in seven Premier League goals versus the Manchester club, with four goals and three assists.

In all competitions, Firmino has made more Reds appearances against City (12) than he has versus any other club. The No.9 has netted five times in those games.
