Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named in Egypt's squad for the World Cup.

The 25-year-old suffered a game-ending shoulder injury just half an hour into the Reds' 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final late last month.

However, he remains hopeful of featuring for his country in Russia this summer, and has today been included in Hector Cuper's 23-man selection.

Salah enjoyed an incredible debut season at Anfield, scoring 44 goals in 52 appearances, and will be out to shine on the biggest stage of all alongside his countrymen later this month.
