The second chapter of our daily flashback to Liverpool's five previous European Cup triumphs takes us to Wembley and a moment of genius from Kenny Dalglish in 1978.

It was 40 years ago this month that the Reds retained Old Big Ears after a 1-0 win over Belgian outfit Club Brugge.

Following the departure of Kevin Keegan to SV Hamburg ahead of the season, Bob Paisley chose his new No.7 wisely as he swooped to get Dalglish from Celtic.

And with the help of fellow new signing Graeme Souness, The King clipped the ball over Birger Jensen and into the back of the net to win the game and clinch the cup.
