There were unforgettable scenes of joy at the Stadio Olimpico as Liverpool's players and fans came together to celebrate the team's qualification for the Champions League final.

The Reds held off an AS Roma comeback in Italy, losing 4-2 on the night but winning 7-6 on aggregate, to set up a showpiece meeting with Real Madrid in Kiev later this month.

After the final whistle confirmed the club’s progress to a first European Cup final since 2007, the squad and staff gathered in front of the 5,000-strong away section to toast the achievement.

Jürgen Klopp and his players also paid tribute to Sean Cox, who is in a critical condition in hospital following an attack before the first leg at Anfield last week.
