LFCTV marks 10 years since Jordan Henderson joined Liverpool with an exclusive documentary charting his rise from Sunderland's academy to the pinnacle of European football.

Henderson: The Making of a Champion is now available on demand via LFCTV GO and features contributors including Henderson himself, Jürgen Klopp and Sir Kenny Dalglish.

Jordan reflects on his football career while his father, Brian, shares precious memories and tours Sunderland meeting key figures in Jordan's early life, including:

  • Former PE teacher at Farringdon Community Academy, Steve Golightly.

  • Early influences at the Academy of Light, such as youth coach Lewis Dickman and Sunderland legend Kevin Ball.

  • Steve Bruce, his manager for two seasons at Sunderland.

Then, we move on to Liverpool, where:

  • Dalglish and Jamie Carragher paint a picture of Henderson the 20-year-old newcomer, who fought for his place in the team.

  • James Milner and Adam Lallana explain how Henderson stepped into the role of club captain from 2015 on.

  • Klopp, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk steer us through the highs and lows of Kiev, Barcelona, Madrid and then the night we ended the 30-year wait.
