Reds legend Ian Rush joined local families at Anfield this week to mark the end of Red Neighbours' summer breakfast clubs.

The former striker met with youngsters and their families – signing autographs and taking part in a Q&A – to celebrate another successful run of Red Neighbours' holiday clubs.

More than 800 people from L4, L5 and L6 were invited to the stadium throughout August to enjoy a healthy breakfast, take part in family-orientated activities and experience a tour of Anfield.

Across the summer, LFC’s official mascot, Mighty Red, was on hand to provide entertainment and challenge the youngsters to energetic dance-off competitions.

Families were also given the chance to take home some special raffle prizes courtesy of the club’s official family partner, Joie.

Red Neighbours' breakfast clubs are a regular fixture at Anfield during the school holidays, providing local families with activities and nutritious food as part of its commitment to food poverty and education and providing memorable experiences for young people.
