Anfield played host to Red Neighbours' half-term breakfast clubs this week - and four LFC stars joined local families for a memorable morning on Thursday.

Youngsters Curtis Jones and Rafael Camacho joined LFC Women players Fran Kitching and Christie Murray to meet with residents to speak about their football experiences, the importance of a nutritious breakfast and their favourite healthy foods.

Camacho said: "It's great to have the opportunity to come along to initiatives like this - Red Neighbours are doing a brilliant job.

"Whether you’re a sportsperson or not, breakfast is really important in setting you up for the day and it’s great to see all the kids taking that message on board and enjoying their food.”

The day kicked off with an LFC-themed raffle in which some special prizes were won, including U23s match tickets, Anfield stadium tours and an LFC baby seat donated by LFC’s official family partner, Joie Baby.

Next up, it was time for breakfast and the families tucked into a selection of healthy food, ranging from cereal and fruit to scrambled egg on toast.

Official club mascot Mighty Red was also on hand to provide a bit of fun before posing for pictures with the children.

Across three days, Red Neighbours' breakfast clubs will serve over 210 guests as part of their commitment to food poverty and education and creating memorable experiences for young people.
