Pupils from three local schools enjoyed a festive day at Liverpool's Melwood training thanks to the club’s Red Neighbours programme.

Twelve children - from Gwladys Street Primary School, St Francis De Sales Catholic Junior School and Whitefield Primary School - had a creative afternoon making and decorating Christmas gingerbread houses with LFC’s head of nutrition Mona Nemmer before embarking on a guided tour of the facilities.

The young fans also met with Jürgen Klopp and the first team squad as they headed out to training ahead of their Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
