LFC Foundation's Premier League Kicks programme welcomed guests from Football Star Academy in Australia for a special Friday night friendly recently.

The fixture, held under the floodlights at Anfield Sports and Community Centre, saw 24 local youngsters from the PL Kicks U12s and U14s development teams take on the Football Star Academy squad as part of the Aussie visitors' North West UK Tour.

Andrea Cooper, head of LFC Foundation, said: "This was a fantastic occasion for our Kicks participants as well as the young players who travelled all the way from Australia.

"We were honored to host Football Star Academy as part of their UK tour - the turn-out of support was excellent and created a really special atmosphere."

The PL Kicks programme has a proven track record of furthering opportunities for youngsters, with pathways in both grassroots football and the elite game.
