The Liverpool FC Foundation and Standard Chartered are working together to offer young Reds a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lead out Jürgen Klopp's team when they take on Barcelona at Wembley this Saturday.

Standard Chartered and the Foundation have selected two deserving children through Liverpool Children’s Cancer Support Group (CHICS) and Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity in conjunction with Make A Wish, to take to the pitch with their LFC heroes this weekend.

Standard Chartered has donated a third mascot package for the Wembley fixture that will be auctioned online at charitystars.com, with proceeds going to the Foundation and the Seeing is Believing (SIB) campaign.

Eddie Hincks, family support worker at CHICS, said: "These opportunities offered to our children are priceless, they give the children in our group a tremendous lift; Billy and his family are delighted to be chosen to be the mascot for his beloved LFC against Barcelona. Thank you so much to Standard Chartered and the Liverpool FC Foundation for this wonderful opportunity."

Nicola Briggs, wish granting team leader at Make A Wish, said: "Brae and his family are ecstatic that we are able to make his wish come true and we are so grateful to Standard Chartered and the Liverpool FC Foundation for giving us an opportunity to organise something like this."

Andrea Cooper, head of the LFC Foundation, said: "The LFC Foundation raises funds, develops partnerships and delivers programmes that engage people through their passion for LFC and football, and help them to become healthier, improve their life chances, and contribute positively to their community. We are committed to supporting young people across the world to improve their health and reach their potential."

The online auction will close at 7.30pm BST on Thursday August 4. For more information and to bid, please click here.
