Liverpool FC celebrated the 30th anniversary of regional Thai partner AP Honda when club ambassador Gary McAllister presented Honda executives Mr Suchart and Dr Arnop with a commemorative LFC shirt to mark the occasion.

The presentation occurred during AP Honda’s visit to the LFC Academy in Kirkby for the fifth annual Red Champion tournament.

Red Champion sees over 300 five-a-side teams from across Thailand compete against each other to win the opportunity to visit Liverpool and participate in an exclusive week of training with LFC coaches at the Academy, learning to play ‘The Liverpool Way’.

The two winning Red Champion teams were presented with a signed certificate and gift on behalf of AP Honda and LFC by McAllister, who also offered them some special words of advice and encouragement.

Billy Hogan, LFC’s chief commercial officer, said: “We are delighted to be able to share this special anniversary with AP Honda. Liverpool FC is a club with an incredibly rich history and we are so pleased to be able to celebrate this important milestone with our partner AP Honda.

“This has been another very successful Red Champion campaign and we very much look forward to hosting more winners of this terrific tournament at Liverpool FC in the future.”
