Tickets are now on sale for Liverpool FC Women's season-opener in the FA Women's Championship.

The Reds will take on London City Lionesses at Prenton Park next Sunday – August 29 – with kick-off at 2pm.

It will mark the end of a busy summer period for the club, with the return of title-winning manager Matt Beard and the arrival of eight new players into the squad.

The COVID-19 pandemic prevented fans from attending all but one game last year and it is hoped a good home crowd can help inspire LFC Women as they begin their campaign against another side who have recruited heavily ahead of 2021-22.

“The team are really looking forward to playing in front of our supporters again,” said Beard.

“We all know it’s going to be a very competitive division this season and our fans can make a huge difference during those crucial moments that can decide games.

“From a personal point of view I’m looking forward to seeing some familiar faces from my first spell at the club, as well as making plenty of new friends.”

Fan activities at Prenton Park will start at 12.30pm, with entry to the ground from 1pm. Fans can meet up with members of The Anfield Wrap in the Bunny Bell bar at the ground before the match, with some special guests expected to pop in.

Just as at Anfield, fans are reminded to read the supplementary information with their tickets which gives advice on key issues, particularly COVID-19.

Pay at the gate will no longer be available this season, so supporters are encouraged to get their tickets in advance and get along to support the Reds. Tickets can be printed off or displayed on a phone.

Secure your seats at www.liverpoolfc.com/women-tickets with adults priced at just £6.50, children £4 and concessions (students, over 65s) also just £4.

Or why not sort a whole season of fantastic action with an LFC Women season ticket, with adult seats cut in price to just £60, children and concessions £35, adult and child £75, and a family ticket for two adults and two kids just £140.

Anfield season ticket holders and Official LFC Members can also gain admission to LFC Women fixtures free of charge using their unique code, which will be posted in the Members Area next week.
