Liverpool to open talks with Bayern Munich imminently
Liverpool are reportedly set to accelerate their move for Thiago Alcantara over the coming days as they prepare to open talks with Bayern Munich for the midfielder.
The 29-year-old was at the heart of Bayern’s Champions League final victory over Paris Saint-Germain last weekend but his appearance in Lisbon may well be his last for the club, after seven years of service in Bavaria.
Despite positive contract negotiations at the start of the year, Thiago has had a change of heart and is seeking a fresh challenge as he nears the twilight years of his playing career with less than 12 months remaining on his current deal at the Allianz Arena.
