Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has told his former striker Mario Gotze to join a team where he can become an important first-team player this summer.

The 28-year-old played under Klopp during his first spell at Dortmund before leaving to join Bayern Munich in 2013.

Some have linked Gotze with a reunion with Klopp at Liverpool, but speaking to Sky Germany, Klopp appeared to play down the rumours by suggesting he should go to a club where he is guaranteed a place in the starting line-up week in, week out.
