Liverpool turned down a chance to sign Marcos Llorente because he wasn't considered 'a priority' by manager Jurgen Klopp.

Llorente's agent and uncle, Julio, said the 24-year-old was offered to Liverpool before he joined Atletico Madrid from city rivals Real.

It is believed that Chelsea and Tottenham were also sounded out after Llorente was deemed surplus to requirements at Real.
