Liverpool have no interest in signing Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge.

Reports coming out of Wales earlier this week suggested the Reds had made an initial enquiry over Etheridge's availability this summer.

The 29-year-old is expected to leave the relegated south Wales side, with promoted Aston Villa having had a bid of around £8million rejected, while Fulham and West Ham United are keeping tabs on the player.

But the ECHO understands speculation that Liverpool are among the potential suitors is wide of the mark, with the Philippines international not on their radar.
