Tottenham Hotspur are tracking highly-rated Bristol City defender Lloyd Kelly - but they could face competition from Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool for his signature.

The 20-year-old England Under 21 international was called up to train with Gareth Southgate's senior squad earlier this season.

His Championship performances have alerted scouts at top clubs after breaking into the Bristol City first team at left back.

It is generally believed his long-term future lies in central defence, although his solid performances at full-back have caught the eye.

He was amongst City's top performers in an impressive win at Birmingham on Saturday and Tottenham are stepping up their pursuit of the youngster to lead the race for his signature.

But Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal have all been keeping tabs on him in recent weeks with a view to making a move when the transfer window opens next month.
