Lyon have urged Nabil Fekir to make a decision over his future before the winter break.

The France international has 18 months remaining on his Lyon contract after his proposed move to Liverpool fell through in the summer.

Reports suggest Fekir could move on at the end of the season with Bayern Munich and Chelsea keen, while it remains to be seen if Liverpool will reignite their interest.

Lyon are still hopeful of agreeing a new contract with their skipper to avoid him leaving for a minimal fee at the end of the season or for absolutely nothing in 2020.

Le Progres reports Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas is planning a meeting with Fekir to discuss his future.

Aulas was speaking at the club's AGM on Wednesday when he claimed a decision would be made before "the holidays".

Lyon play their last Ligue 1 encounter before the winter break against Montpellier on the weekend of December 21/22.

That will last until the first week of January where clubs could look to strike a deal for Fekir.
