Liverpool target Nabil Fekir is still pushing for a move to Anfield before the transfer window shuts.

That's according to one Liverpool fan who recently met the Lyon midfielder.

Fekir had looked set to join Liverpool last month with a move to Anfield almost coming to fruition.

Prior to the World Cup, Fekir underwent a medical with the Reds but concerns over a long-standing knee issue reportedly contributed to a deal falling through.

Liverpool are thought to still be chasing the France midfielder though with Jurgen Klopp still keen to recruit any late additions to his squad.

French newspaper L’Equipe recently poured cold water on any potential deal though, claiming Fekir “should now stay” with the Ligue 1 side.

However, in another fresh twist, Liverpool fan Noor Patterson claims the 25-year-old still has his heart set on a switch to Merseyside.

The Liverpool supporter posted a photo with Fekir with the following caption detailing an alleged conversation that took place between them:

“Me: "Still waiting for you to join Liverpool."

“Fekir: "*laughs* yeah yeah inshallah.””

Inshallah translates to God willing.

With Fekir supposedly still keen on leaving Lyon it will be down to the Reds to try and negotiate with the Ligue 1 outfit.
