Roma are holding out for £67million for goalkeeper Alisson after Liverpool opened the bidding for the Brazil No.1.

The Anfield club lodged an offer of £62m on Tuesday but the Serie A side want to squeeze another £5m out of the Premier League side, according to reports in Italy.

Liverpool are also set to face competition from Chelsea who want to sign Alisson as a replacement for Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian keeper looks set to join Real Madrid having failed to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Alisson, 25, has been with Roma since joining from Brazilian side Internacional in 2016 and made 37 Serie A appearances last season.

He played in all five of Brazil's games at this summer's World Cup, keeping three clean sheets.
