Liverpool could miss out on transfer target Luan after Lazio made the first move.

The 25-year-old currently plies his trade with Gremio in Brazil but is believed to be keen on a switch to Europe.

Liverpool have been linked in the past while Inter Milan are also interested, but Citta Celeste reports Lazio have made a move to sign the forward.

The offer on the table is in the region of €15m but the Brazilian side are holding out for a fee closer to €25m.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool will pursue a deal for Luan, who enjoyed an impressive campaign last season.
