Rhian Brewster has agreed a new five-year deal to stay at Liverpool.

The star of the U18 World Cup turned 18 in April and there were real fears he could be lured away from Anfield with Borussia Monchengladbach attempting to sign him.

And with Dortmund and Leipzig also circling, the club were keen to sign their rising star on a long-term contract. After extended talks, Brewster, who was top scorer at the U18 World Cup, has agreed a new deal that will keep him at Liverpool until 2023.

Jürgen Klopp promoted Brewster to the first team squad earlier this season, but an injury ruled him out at the end of the campaign.

The Reds boss believes his young striker will step up into the first team squad more permanently next season, and he has spoken about the youngster having a big future.
