Liverpool will turn their attentions towards signing unhappy Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, according to reports in Italy.

Liverpool have been linked with a host of top ‘keepers, including Roma’s Alisson Becker and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio.com now claim Courtois’ exit from Stamford Bridge is certain and Liverpool have turned their sights on signing him.

The Belgium international is determined to leave Chelsea this summer in search of a new challenge.

Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League with a fifth-place finish in the Premier League and the club have failed in efforts to sign Courtois up to a new long-term deal.

The 26-year-old’s current deal expires next summer and Courtois has refused every offer Chelsea has made him to extend his contract.

Courtois is set to leave this summer, and will have the choice whether to stay in England or join Real Madrid.

Liverpool and Madrid are the top contenders for his signature, but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea would sell to a direct rival.

Chelsea may be persuaded to part with Courtois as he enters the final 12 months of his contract, rather than lose him on a free transfer next summer.
