Liverpool want Sampdoria star Lucas Torreira this summer and will battle it out with Napoli for the Uruguay international.
The Partenopei have highlighted Torreira as a potential replacement for Jorginho, who has been linked with Manchester City.
Liverpool will bring in Naby Keita this summer, but Gazzetta dello Sport claim Jurgen Klopp wants another centre-midfielder and Torreira could be the ideal choice.
The 22-year-old Samp star has shone in Serie A this term and will go to the World Cup with La Celeste.
