Barcelona are willing to let Ousmane Dembele join Liverpool this summer, reports in Spain have claimed.

Barcelona forward Dembele has emerged as a Liverpool transfer target in recent weeks.

Jurgen Klopp recently expressed a desire to sign the France international, who has endured a difficult campaign at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona forked out over £130million to sign the player from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Fast forward nearly a year, however, and a parting of the ways could be on the cards.

And Spanish website El Gol Digital say Liverpool have now been handed a major transfer boost.

The report indicates Barcelona are willing to negotiate for the forward, despite club president Josep Maria Bartomeu’s claims to the contrary.

Speaking recently, the Nou Camp chief said: “The option of selling him is not on the table.

“We are finishing the season and then there will be meetings.

“He's an investment for the future. He is very young and we expect a lot from him.”

Yet El Gol Digital say the Barcelona bigwig is bluffing and that Dembele may be allowed to join Liverpool.

That is supposedly because the Catalan giants are nearing a deal to sign Antoine Griezmann.

Express Sport is aware that Griezmann looks primed to sign for Barcelona despite interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United.

The arrival of another attacker would see Dembele plummet down Ernesto Valverde’s pecking order.

And that could play into Liverpool’s hands.

As well as the Reds, Manchester United and Chelsea have also been tipped to pursue the Barcelona misfit.
