Daniel Sturridge is losing his battle to be fit for Liverpool's Premier League clash with West Ham at Anfield on Sunday.

The England striker still hasn't returned to full training at Melwood and looks increasingly unlikely to feature against the Hammers.

Sturridge was sidelined by a calf problem following the goalless draw at Southampton last month. He has since sat out matches against Sunderland, Leeds and Bournemouth.

The 27-year-old frontman stayed behind for treatment when Jurgen Klopp's squad headed to Spain for a bonding trip earlier this week.

Sturridge's continued absence is a blow for the Reds, who are looking to bounce back after a dramatic 4-3 defeat to the Cherries.

Klopp is also without the injured attacking duo of Philippe Coutinho and Danny Ings.

Adam Lallana is expected to return to the starting line against West Ham after making his comeback as a substitute at Bournemouth.
