Hatem Ben Arfa has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Liverpool, according to reports.

The Frenchman has been busy resurrecting his career with Nice in France, having left Newcastle United under something of a cloud two years ago.

He’s scored 12 goals in 26 matches for the Ligue 1 side this season, and his fine performances have reportedly put him in the running for a shock call up to Didier Deschamps’ France squad for Euro 2016.

According to Le 10 Sport, his form has also attracted the interest of a number of major sides across Europe, including Liverpool.

Ben Arfa recently admitted that his door is ‘open to all clubs,’ although PSG are widely believed to be leading the race for his signature.

Inter Milan, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also all thought to be interested.
