Liverpool are said to be preparing a big-money bid for West Ham's loan star Manuel Lanzini when the transfer window opens.

West Ham snapped up Lanzini in the summer on loan from Al Jazira and he has been a revelation in midfield, becoming a key part in their progress this season.

They have already agreed an £8million fee with his club for the permanent move of the player at the end of the season but Liverpool are set to make a big-money move to try and nip in ahead of the Hammers.

West Ham are the clear favourites to land the player but a mega bid from Liverpool could change their minds as manager Jurgen Klopp attempts to add some attacking wide players to his squad.

Chelsea and Manchester City have also been named as possible interested parties.
