Liverpool are eyeing a move for their former midfielder Nuri Sahin following Jürgen Klopp’s appointment, according to reports.

Sahin, 27, joined Liverpool on loan from Real Madrid back in 2012, having previously been part of Klopp’s 2011 title-winning Dortmund team.

The Turkish international failed to establish himself under Brendan Rodgers, though, and has since returned to Dortmund.

But according to Calciomercato, he and Klopp could be reunited at Anfield, with the Italian outlet expecting Liverpool to make a move for the player.

Sahin is contracted to Dortmund until 2018, but has only made a handful of appearances since returning to the Bundesliga side.
