Liverpool appear to be closing in on the transfer of Lucas Digne who is ready to quit Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.

The Reds are already thought to have held talks with PSG over a potential move for the 22-year-old left-back who is desperate for regular game-time to secure a place in France's Euro 2016 squad.

Digne's agent Mikkel Beck told Goal: "It's simple. There are the Euros at end of the season and Lucas will no longer waste time.

"He wants to re-join the France squad for Euro 2016. And that can only happen with game time.Beck did, though, confirm that the player would only leave the French capital if he was assured of a starting spot in the first-team the potential suitor.

"He must be able to play in a big club and, above all, to have a starting spot. Otherwise, it's not worth leaving PSG."
