A special tribute night in the memory of Elliot Wild, the little boy who captured the hearts of thousands of Liverpool fans after making an appeal for a stem cell match on LFC TV, is being staged by Claire House on Friday night.

The young kopite died in March, aged nine, after losing his brave battle against leukaemia.

Back in October 2010, Elliot came into the LFC TV studio with his mother to appeal for supporters to register with the Anthony Nolan charity in the hope that one fan may prove a match for the youngster and help save his life.

The event, at Higher Bebington Junior School, drew over 900 fans - including Liverpool FC goalkeeper Brad Jones - but unfortunately none of them proved a match.

A second event took place in Mossley Hill, Liverpool, but again, no match was found.

Despite the setbacks, Elliot fought on and even managed to star in his own LFC TV show at Christmas, putting his questions to Pepe Reina during a special edition of 'SmallTalk'.

Elliot's parents, Ian and Jackie Wild, are part of the Claire House Festival Team and feel passionately that a facility like Claire House Children's Hospice should receive as much help as possible to ensure its doors remain open.

The tribute night, which is called 'A Wild Night Out' takes place at the 'Big Marquee', Wirral Rugby Club in Clatterbridge this Friday night between 7pm and midnight.

Hosted in a beautiful marquee with a subsidised bar there are 50 tables of 10 with a choice of three foods of the world, wine on the table, entertainment from the winners of the Claire House comedy night and dancing to the amazing local band 'The Stines'.

There are a couple of other fun surprises planned on the night too.

This is a one off opportunity to enjoy a summer evening with your friends and work colleagues, sample some great food and wine whilst being thoroughly entertained.

It also means you are supporting families like Ian and Jackie Wild and the other children who rely upon Claire House Children's Hospice.

Tickets are £25.00 a head (tables of 10).
