Continuing our One to Watch for 2011-12 feature this week on .tv, former Liverpool goal machine John Aldridge plumps for a Spanish starlet who has already hit the headlines.

Player profile: Spanish starlet Suso has had a debut season to remember, from scoring the reserve-team Goal of the Season against Newcastle to creating numerous other strikes for his teammates.

Although he is best known as playing in his favoured role behind the striker, he has also featured in a wide-right role for the youth team.

Skilful with an impeccable first touch, Suso's performances have captured the imagination of supporters, and he made his senior debut as a substitute in a pre-season friendly with Borussia Moenchengladbach last summer.

John says: My one to watch for next season is Suso.

He started the 2010-11 campaign in blistering form for both the reserves and U18s and although he may have tailed off a little bit before the end of the term, I'm sure he'll be back on top of his game in the coming year.

Suso is such a gifted footballer and his technical ability is so good. He can be an absolutely joy to watch at times and some of his assists and goals in 10-11 were magnificent.

He's a natural and a player in the Barcelona mould. I'm in no doubt if he continues to work hard at his game, he'll make the step up to the Liverpool first team.
